From Lucerne I took the Pilatus Loop. A one day excursion to the top of Mount Pilatus, where dragons were thought to dwell. The day started on cable cars, carrying us up the side of the mountain.

You can see the cog railway tracks (steepest in the world) snaking down the mountain.

I took the railway back, at times it seemed like we were looking down a roller coaster track.
