The day before our trek started, we visited a set of ruins and an earlier part of the Inca trail to get acclimatized to the altitude.

The walls were truly amazing, each stone uniquely carved to match its neighbors.

I believe this was the entrance to the Temple of the Sun in the first set of ruins we visited.
