One of the first hikes a few of us took was up Emminence Break, a fault in the towering redwall limestone. This picture was taken from about halfway up the redwall. Can you see the rafts? They're right near the middle of the bottom of the photo.

When I heard we'd be hiking on this trip, I didn't realize how much rock scrambling would be involved. The views were worth every minute.

We watched the sun set from the top of the redwall, still more than a thousand feet down from the rim.
