I've driven through parts of California a number of times and have quite a number of pictures but these are some of the most interesting. Someday I'll post more, but for now, these ones from a road trip down to visit friends in Santa Barbara will have to do.

Crescent City is in Northern California, at the upper entrance to the Redwood National forest. I stopped there to spend the night and was just in time to catch a beautiful sunset. Hearst Castle is in the south, at San Simeon, fairly close to Santa Barbara. It's a magnificent mansion/complex filled with just a few of the thousands and thousands of things William Randolph Hearst bought in his lifetime. Well worth a day to visit.
